We Are Called

Congratulations To Gatsby’s Of Gahanna

Gatsby’s is a long-time supporter of many of our KofC programs with our Brother Jack Petrick having led the charge on many of them. This year our Council created a new twist to our annual Coats For Kids program, The Jack Petrick Memorial Knights of Columbus Coats For Kids Tavern Challenge. This new program was a way we could honor our recently departed Brother Jack with something he held near and dear to his heart, helping kids.

Our Council, with the help of a number of Brother volunteers, were able to signup 9 local taverns to participate in this inaugural event to help increase the coats we were able to collect and distribute to kids struggling to stay warm. The taverns competed to see which one could collect the most coats and the winner would be awarded a rotating trophy/plaque with their tavern name and date they could keep and display for a full year.

Thanks to all and especially to our 2025 winner, Gatsby’s owner Doug Vance, for his commitment to helping us keep kids warm!!

We would also like to thank the following local taverns for hosting one of our special collection tubs and our Brother Knights that monitored and collected coats left in the tubs.

The following 9 taverns competed for the bragging-rights trophy:

3rd Base – Hamilton Rd in Westerville – 23 coats
Cornerstone – Gahanna – 18 coats
Double Barrel Pub – Westerville – 16 coats
Flanagan’s – Gahanna – 3 coats
Gahanna Grill – Gahanna – 9 coats

2025 WINNER!!! Gatsyby’s – Gahanna – 75 coats

Mug and Jug – Gahanna – 23 coats
Past Times Bar – Westerville – 39 coats
The Pub- Gahanna – 36 coats

Total tavern challenge coats collected – 335

These taverns contributed the coats they collected to our grand total of 1341 coats delivered to needy kids in 2025.

Thank You to all of our participating Taverns!!

And Congratulations Gatsby’s of Gahanna as our 2025 winner!!
